ABOUT DJ UFUK

There is much to tell. DJ Ufuk starting spinning the wheels of steel in 1988. He and his school friend

Norman Feller a. k. a. Terry Lee Brown Jr. rocked various parties. During this time they met Tom

Wax, amongst others. First demo tapes started to turn into serious music. With the support of Tom

Wax A&R; of Influence Records, Music Research (TALLA 2XLC) they got their first record deal.

In 1993 Norman a. k. a. Terry Lee Brown Jr. and Ufuk released their first record. The record

immediately climbed to the top of the techno charts and was a massiv techno-hit-single.

Top DJs like SvenVäth (Omen Frankfurt), Talla 2XLC (Dorian Gray, Airport Frankfurt), Westbam (Berlin) played the vinyl.

The project “Probe” was

the kick-off for their own productions.In the years 1993-1996 numerous hits were released

on “Suck me Plasma”, “Overdrive”, “Cool Summer Cuts”, “Influence” and many more. Projects: Artificial Flavour, Bassdroppers, Deanna Troi, Dj Ufuk, Morpheus7, Probe, Surface etc.

1996 DJ Ufuk and HelApel (Abfahrt Records –composer of Come into my life feat. Nosie Katzmann (Mr.Vain) remixed several titles for no. 1 hit artist Captain Jack (1996 GOLD for Captain Jack).

In the years 1997-1999 produced music for the project "DJ Ufuk" (Universal Rec., Phuture Wax, Reef Rec.)

The year 2000 brought the breakthrough with R2D2 (Phuture

Wax)! The title was sold into

numerous countries such as the Netherlands, France, Italy and Belgium. The TomWax Remix can be found on official Live-Street-Parade-Sampler.
 
In 2001 R2D2 climbed to no. 1 of the radio DJ charts

in Australia. It was released on more than 90 samplers from Africa to Asia! It was also produced as

a maxi CD ;-). “Even I don’t have the maxi CD” Ufuk adds.

DORIAN GRAY STORY

...On 31 December 2000 the nightclub ceased operations in Frankfurt am Main, due to continuing problems in securing fire safety certification from the airport inspectorate. The last record that was played on the closure was "Lovin' You" from musician Minnie Riperton and was played by the resident DJ Ufuk in the small club. Several years after the closure of the nightclub, the painted entrance doors were still visible with the original image. In January 2008, the existing space in Hall C was renovated into a shopping area.
